The Warlock's Refuge is a short story which provides a bridge between Night of Madness and the Final Calling. It was later included in The Final Calling as a prelude-style first chapter. The story of how Chairman Hanner recieved a Transporting Tapestry leading to another world from the wizard Arvagan in order to provide a refuge from the Calling from warlocks, his experience in that other world, and immediate departure to Aldagmor upon returning to the World.
