The Neithervoid, or Hell is where demons reside. Prior to the end of the Great War passage to and from the World from the Neithervoid was relatively easy, aiding in the use of demonology by the Northern Empire in its war efforts. Demons and demonology was such a part of the Northern Empire that the half-demon Shatra were a regular threat to Ethsharatic forces. Subsequent to the end of the Great War the gods sealed many of the old accesses to the Neithervoid, making it impossible for demons to escape without aid from a demonologist, and incidentally changing or complicating the incantations necessary to summon demons.
