Charlatans are those that engage in the seemingly unthinkable act of faking magic with the profusion of real magic in it does happen with some regularity, however, particularly in the Small Kingdoms and other places where "real magic" is rare. Certain of the minor schools, like herbalism and science, are questionable regarding whether or not they effect actual magic or are simply natural processes. However, these tradesmen provide exactly the results their practitioners claim; charlatans, however, almost universally claim to be tapping into power or knowledge they do not actually have.
